Description

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct onsite inspections and gather necessary data for commercial energy assessments.
  • Perform detailed energy calculations and analysis to determine energy efficiency ratings.
  • Prepare accurate and compliant Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for commercial properties.
  • Provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements and advise clients on costsaving measures.
  • Stay updated with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices related to energy assessments.
  • Expand knowledge and skills by training as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) for residential properties.
  • Drive to client sites to complete energy assessments, therefore a valid driving license and comfort with driving is essential.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, reports, and certifications.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work.
  • Manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Commercial Energy Assessor with a valid accreditation is preferred but training can be provided.
  • Experience in conducting commercial energy assessments and producing EPCs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., MEES, Part L, Building Regulations) related to energy efficiency in commercial properties is a bonus.
  • Willingness to undergo training as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) for residential dwellings.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient in using energy assessment software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable driving and a valid driving license.
  • A working vehicle will be provided, and mileage will be paid for client visits.

Salary:
£21,000 - £28,000 per annum (salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience)
