Responsibilities:
- Conduct onsite inspections and gather necessary data for commercial energy assessments.
- Perform detailed energy calculations and analysis to determine energy efficiency ratings.
- Prepare accurate and compliant Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for commercial properties.
- Provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements and advise clients on costsaving measures.
- Stay updated with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices related to energy assessments.
- Expand knowledge and skills by training as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) for residential properties.
- Drive to client sites to complete energy assessments, therefore a valid driving license and comfort with driving is essential.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, reports, and certifications.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of work.
- Manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Qualified Commercial Energy Assessor with a valid accreditation is preferred but training can be provided.
- Experience in conducting commercial energy assessments and producing EPCs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., MEES, Part L, Building Regulations) related to energy efficiency in commercial properties is a bonus.
- Willingness to undergo training as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) for residential dwellings.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient in using energy assessment software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable driving and a valid driving license.
- A working vehicle will be provided, and mileage will be paid for client visits.
Salary:
£21,000 - £28,000 per annum (salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience)
