Technical Administrator
This is an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join our professional and dynamic Engineering team.

SOCOTEC's Engineering team provides an award-winning, flexible and forward-thinking approach, as well as a high level of technical capability, providing clients with cost-effective and practical solutions.

The team has ambitious growth plans and is looking for a quality driven, organised, and flexible Administrator to join them.

Working across a variety of projects both autonomously and as part of a wider team, tasks you will be required to undertake as part of your role include (but are not limited to):

  • To be aware of the status of both live projects and enquiries
  • Ensure quality is maintained across all procedures
  • Undertake and coordinate internal audits of enquires and projects for ISO purposes
  • Assist the team integrating within the new management software system, in collaboration with Socotec IT department
  • Support with the development of marketing materials including those which will be shared externally with clients
  • The role may include Tender and Bid submissions
  • The role includes working with Operations Support to ensure effective and efficient delivery across the business unit including during staff absences to ensure the needs of the business if met
  • Assist the engineering team in preparing fee proposal documents
  • Assist the team with reviewing formatting of reports before they are shared with clients
  • Assist the directors in preparing PowerPoint presentation documents
  • Update and maintain the annual CPD tracker for the team. Ensure that anyone who isn't meeting the annual requirements is made aware
  • Provide support to Operations Manager with invoicing procedures
  • Providing ad hoc support to the team when needed
  • Organise monthly team social events
  • Maintain a positive team environment to promote the overall interests of the company without regard to sectional or divisional boundaries

  • Proven experience as an Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or relevant role
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical skills to ensure efficient actions are taken in all areas of work
  • Problemsolving attitude with an eye for detail
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Construction industry and market knowledge is beneficial
