The Role


The role of Senior Consultant, People Business Partnering is to lead on and implement people activity to deliver the People Plans across the shore business areas that they support.

This will include influencing and guiding Directors and Line Managers on cyclical people activity, reporting on progress and working with the wider People Team.


  • Alongside Senior People Directors (SPDs), drive and implement People Plans within business areas, ensuring they align to and enable the organisational goals to be achieved
  • Facilitate the implementation of people aspects of organisational change, structures, people processes and business improvement initiatives within the business area
  • Track and oversight to implement agreed Workforce planning forecast to business area.
  • Partner directors and managers to identify individuals for early careers talent development and succession (E.g., Charting My Success and apprenticeships) and act a conduit with the talent and learning teams.
  • Liaise with other people areas when providing advice on People best practice


Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities.

This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, 6 months fixed term contract basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, a minimum of 3 days per week.

  • Experience with delivery of people activity within a large organisation including business partnering and core cycle activity and ad hoc people projects
  • Have influencing skills and be able to effectively manage stakeholders
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Have strong administrations skills and experience of using Microsoft office
  • Offer great customer service
