The International Social Research (ISR) team at Ipsos UK is seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Project Officer, with a key focus on supporting the management of international research and evaluation projects requiring quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation.

Internationally focused Ipsos' teams specialise in designing and managing large-scale, multi-country surveys, designing and implementing qualitative research, and carrying out evaluations.

We carry out important studies for clients such as bilateral and multilateral development agencies, UN agencies, the European Commission, and other EU Institutions Union, the EBRD, the OSCE, the World Bank, and philanthropic Foundations.

Ipsos has a powerful, integrated global network that enables us to deliver international research solutions for our clients, and the ISR team is experienced in bringing together this network.


What Will I be doing?
As a Project Officer within the ISR team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing operational and administrative support, contributing to international social research and evaluations on international development concerns.
  • Managing administrative duties such as supplier and consultant contracts, office contracts, coordinating expenses and travel, and overseeing ethical approval processes.
  • Coordinating projects with multiple partners / consortiums
  • Managing administrative processes particularly in business development and knowledge management.
  • Identifying and tracking opportunities in the international research and evaluation market.
  • Maintaining an external consultant/academic database.
  • Leading on administrative tasks during scoping, bidding, and implementation of international proposals and framework contracts.
  • Using our financial system to generate job numbers, proposals, requesting quotes from suppliers and issuing customer satisfaction monitors.
  • Tailoring Ipsos tools to the international sector, such as proposals, budget sheets, project management toolkits, and boilerplate proposal material.
  • Engaging on research and evaluation tasks as required.
  • Supporting other teams with an international focus, such as the Policy & Evaluation Unit.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Market Research Project Management
  • Highly proficient and skilled in MS Office packages including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage own projects and workload.
  • Highly organised and able to manage many different tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to work quickly and flexibly to manage a high volume of work to tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible to changing needs, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Logical and able to understand data.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, motivation and effective team working skills.
  • Previous experience with tracking and responding to calls from tender from international organisations is desirable but not essential.
