As a result of our continued expansion we are seeking talented individuals to join us as a Production Supervisor at our Production facility in Port Talbot.


You will assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day operations of the laundry and providing a safe and productive working environment for the team.


You will work closely with production operators to ensure that processing quality, quantity and service meets the standards we have set ourselves.


You will be an experienced team leader who has already built up relevant knowledge within a production environment or similar.


What you will be doing:


  • Operating industrial laundry machinery
  • Sorting têxtiles into categories
  • Packing beautifully clean linen

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Production Manager with daytoday operational issues, to ensure the smooth running of the Laundry.
  • Staff training, including on the job training, health and safety training.
  • Ensure that Fire, Health and Safety Legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to and a culture of safe working is promoted, including management of all PPE.
  • Ensure that excellent customer service is maintained by completing the required production units in a timely manner and to a satisfactory quality.
  • Review the performance of the team and identify, influence and implement training and development needs, whilst acting as a mentor.
  • Develop a culture of a team working across all functional areas of the laundry and between shifts.
  • Ensure that the Management Team are advised and informed of operational issues as appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing all production staff within your remit including welfare issues, complying at all times to the relevant legislation.
  • Review, monitor and maintain systems to monitor overall staff productivity and performance.
  • Monitor linen and other regular stock checks and supply accurate information.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness and other housekeeping duties including the outside yard area.
  • Adhere to strictest confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial, salary and HR matters.
  • Maximise product quality and to ensure the correct classification of reject, stained and abused linen.
