Summary


Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, the Production Supervisor Assembly -Toolbar for the Night Shift is accountable for ensuring the manufacturing cells are effective and efficient on a day-to-day basis.

Working within the process established they work in conjunction with the Cell Leaders to meet the established schedules.

Education/Experience- University Degree, College Diploma or an equal combination of education and experience Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory position Or an acceptable combination of education and work experience Safety training Leadership training Tool inventory 5S training Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Practical knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing techniquesCore Competencies- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement work activates as a team leader effectively Demonstrated adeptness in conflict resolution Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as an enthusiastic, dedicated self-starter and to meet goals in a timely manner Practical problem-solving skills Adaptable: Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile and/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency. Ethical Behavior: Understands ethical behavior and business practices and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization. Accountable, Dependable and Reliable- Accountabilities- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results Motivate team members through the setting of clear expectations Ensure teams are in place as required Follows up when employees do not report to work Handles timecard approvals and time off requests by utilizing the ADP system Prepares and delivers employees annual performance reviews and makes recommendations on wage reviews Participate in interview, testing and hiring process for relevant positions as required Ensures safety equipment is being worn by team members and in compliance with safety regulations Ensures when safety issues arise, they are dealt with in a timely manner Work through any other HR-related activities with Human Resources Director as required Ensures team is working efficiently Working towards weekly, monthly and quarterly targets Advises Manufacturing Director of any foreseeable issues Ensures issues that affect employees' attitude are being handled Responsible for completing the hiring process and being the first point of contact for new hires on their first day Make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager on equipment maintenance and potential capital purchasesWork Conditions- Time split between office and factory floor Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals Fast paced environment Work under pressure Irregular work hours as required- Why Work with Us?- Vaderstad offers a competitive compensation package including competitive salary, health benefits and pension matching. 100% of the premiums associated with Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription benefits are paid for by the company.
