Salary:
circa £55,000 per year plus car or car allowance

About the contract:
National Grid's Snowdonia Tunnel, which will house pipelines, communication and powerlines, is set to be built by our client.


The Snowdonia Visual Impact Provision (VIP) project intends to remove 3km of overhead power lines from the Dwyryd Estuary and put them in a new underground tunnel - mitigating the impact of their appearance on the natural surroundings.


Our client has been contracted to design and supply the cable tunnel, one 400kV cable circuit and one 132kV cable circuit.

They will also create headhouses for each end of the tunnel, which includes cable sealing end compounds and the associated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation control and automation systems.


Purpose of the role:

  • To lead the construction team within area of responsibility and to be responsible for all aspects of the works, including compliance with legal, company and project requirements. To manage area of responsibility to achieve project commercial and programme requirements.
  • To coordinate area of responsibility with other project areas and manage junior staff.

Requirements and Accountabilities:
You will civils infrastructure project experience

You will have experience in Commercial Management

You will also be able to prove experience in Contract Management

You will be able to demonstrate experience in project management

You will be able to complete assurance, administration and reporting as per the client's requirements for the project

You will have responsibilities of the Contractor under CDM regulations so experience of this is needed.

You will hold a CSCS Management card

You will be computer literate ideally have experience with Themis

You will be able to communicate on all levels both verbal and written

You will be able to produce and read all site documentation including, RAMS, reports, programme etc.
