We do this by running a range of services, raising awareness of the issues that disabled people face and influencing change across society.
We provide support, advice and information for more than a quarter of a million disabled people and their family membersevery year.
Our 175 charity shops generate important funding for our work and provide a vital presence in our communities.
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst who has experience in preparing value adding analysis and financial modelling to support the charity.
This is an excitingtime to take on this role as we have a strategic plan underway to grow the contribution from our stores and online sales - your input in providing management information, challenge, advice, support and improvements will be important to its success.
Fixed term, 10 months - 35 hours per week
Location:
Remote with occasional days in Here East
The role
- To support the Commercial Finance Managers with value adding analysis and modelling, specifically supporting the Fundraising and Retail departments (and others as required).
- To produce information that is relevant and appropriate for the needs of the decision makers within the relevant areas of the organisation and other stakeholders.
- To work in partnership with the senior managers across Scope's support functions, in order to develop an indepth knowledge of the services they provide and associated costs.
- To use this business knowledge and partnership to assist with strategic budget and forecast preparation, highlighting risks and providing advice so that the functions can make informed decisions.
- To contribute to performance management of the organisation through calculation and modelling of relevant financial and nonfinancial key performance indicators.
About you
You will:
- Have financial and management accounting experience. Experience of accounting for retail businesses and/or charities is beneficial but not essential if you have the ability to adapt and learn quickly. You will enjoy working in an agile way with a high performingand ambitious team.
- Be able to work as part of a team and also on your own and will need to be able to produce reports to a high standard and regular deadline as well as prioritise other ad hoc requests.
- Have great organisation, time management and people management skills as well as the ability to communicate in an accessible and inclusive way to different audiences.
