Description

Principle Purpose of Position:

The fabrication of all aspects of structural and architectural metalwork/steelwork projects. To work
across the site in all areas of the Manufacturing and production departments as business demands
require.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Fabricate steelwork in line with project specific drawings to ensure projects are completed on time and accurately
  • Review drawings that are created and work with the team to highlight any anomalies that will impact fabrication
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Achievement of all targets for product volumes and quality
  • Safe operation of Equipment and Fork Lift Truck
  • Product quality produced is in line with company specifications
  • In some instances, you may be required to visit site with a fitting team to support with installation
  • In addition to fabrication, you may be required, in quieter periods, to carry out tasks as instructed by your Line Manager or the Warehouse Shift Supervisor including, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Steelwork cutting and drilling
  • Steelwork spray painting
  • Other related production tasks
  • Loading / unloading delivery vehicles
  • Receiving and checking goods in

Qualifications:


  • NVQ 2 or any relevant welding qualifications/time served fabricator/welder
  • Forklift Truck Licencepreferred but not essential

Experience:


  • Proven experience working in a production/ fabrication environment
  • Experience with MIG welding
  • Experience in stainless steel welding preferred, but not essential
  • Experience using hand tools, various saws, pillar drills and other metal working machinery
