Additional Information:

  • No Material controller, warehouse, etc, please. Knowledge of international logistics/freight required
  • ERP knowledge, essential (sage & Epicore desirable)
  • Might need to travel for 1 or 2 weeks for training on new ERP system, Omega, next year)
  • Interview: Face 2 Face, however Teams is a possibility

DESCRIPTION

With safety, quality, efficiency and customer service as a priority the Shipping Co-ordinator within ISE is a critical part of the business.

Using your import, export and freight knowledge, you will facilitate the safe and timely shipment of product and materials.

Critically, you will work with key stakeholders to obtain freight estimates and execute customer shipment plans with an emphasis on controlling costs while meeting schedule, customer and compliance requirements.

You will take the lead in communicating with clients and facilitating transactions managing shipment orders, requests for tracking information and handling return requests.

As Shipping Co-ordinator you will ensure relevant documentation has been prepared and recorded allowing products to be delivered without interruption leading to Client satisfaction by efficient and economical movement of products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EQUIPMENT & MACHINERY

  • Ensure movement of goods, imports & exports is in compliance with HMRC policy.
  • Organise the shipment of import and export orders: obtaining quotes from freight agents, preparing all relevant documentation, liaising with other departments to obtain information as required
  • Adhere to shipping compliance procedures & Incoterms regulations
  • Complete accurate documentation such as commercial invoices and dangerous goods notes and shipping orders in line with regulations according to the country of destination
  • Plan and coordinate transportation of items and manage the timely flow of customer orders and with focus on accuracy, efficiency and time management
  • Prepare customer invoices for export orders
  • Assist in preparation of audits/inspections both internal company and by external bodies.
  • Liaising with Sales Department and Warehouse personnel for special order requirements and shipping information
  • Complete month end reports for accounts department
  • Maintenance of HMRC records, both imports and exports, updating OA filing system / archiving etc.
  • Address order flow or shipping delays and quality control issues, such as damaged or improperly packed goods
  • Complete daily shipping and receiving logs
  • Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors
  • Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

Qualifications:
Essential

  • HND in a relevant business qualification or equivalent
Desirable

  • CILT related qualificationExperience:
EssentialSolid knowledge of logistics import & export procedures including customs procedures

  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook)
