£29,777 to £31,364 per year (Grade 7)

Fixed term (12 months), full-time, Monday to Friday

Due to internal progression, we are looking for a passionate and positive individual to join as an Assistant Category Buyer within our ICT category on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and have the confidence to present ideas and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

Being analytical in your approach to work, you will enjoy solving problems and will bring a forward-thinking approach, both when working independently and as part of a team.


Reporting to the ICT Category Buyer, you will interact with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting public sector organisations in their procurement activity, providing guidance, and showcasing our framework solutions.


Understanding the importance of organisation, you will be able to prioritise workload and work well in a fast-paced procurement environment.

Showing great attention to detail in your approach to tasks, you will manage your time well and use initiative to pre-empt the demands of our customers.


  • Understanding of Public Sector Procurement
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Great IT Skills, including Microsoft Office


As an Assistant Category Buyer within our ICT Category, you will support in the delivery of multiple frameworks, supporting public sector organisations to achieve value for money.
