About The Role:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Wellbeing Lead to join our team in Health in Justice Thames Valley, supporting our healthcare teams across the Thames Valley region.


As Workforce Wellbeing Lead, your key responsibility will be to provide health and wellbeing support to our healthcare teams at HMP Bullingdon, HMP Grendon and Springhill, HMP Huntercombe and HMP Eastwood Park, driving our health and wellbeing agenda locally and providing support and sign posting to colleagues and line managers.


Your key responsibilities

  • You will be accountable for assessing the health and wellbeing needs of the team and the response required in support of the workforce wellbeing plan for colleagues in Thames Valley. You will ensure that the plan aligns with overarching Practice Plus Group Health in Justice Wellbeing Plan and best practice in terms of workplace health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and people managers to ensure we are educating our managers to manage staff health and wellbeing well and work in conjunction with the Head of Healthcare to address the staff survey action plans (Over to You) in relation to any feedback regarding health and wellbeing support at work.
  • Together with the HR and L&OD team, you will ensure that clear expectations are set regarding the role of managers in supporting wellbeing at work

About You:


Key Skills & Experience

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification or experience in workforce health and wellbeing
  • Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Experience and/or knowledge of supporting critical incident management and using this to support wellbeing
  • Experience of supporting health and wellbeing in complex teams/environments
  • Experienced in developing both internal and external strategic partner relationships and alliances in progressing a best practice Health and Wellbeing strategy/plan
  • Experience in facilitation and training and coaching and mentoring experience
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders including a successful track record of influence and engagement.
  • Extensive indepth demonstrable success in delivering new workforce health and wellbeing approaches and changes to practice by working with management teams, by engaging them in the strategic direction and delivery plans, establishing clear work priorities with them.

Additional Information
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. This is a flexible role, based across our sites in Thames Valley region. There will also be some opportunity for home working.

The salary for this role will be up to £45,000 - dependent on experience. We offer 25 days holidays + bank holidays, increasing to 28 days + bank holidays with service and a range of non
- contractual benefits.
