Description

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Utilize cost estimation software and tools to develop comprehensive estimates
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys for materials, labour, and equipment
• Research and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing
• Identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards
• Present estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner
• Review completed projects to compare estimated costs with actual costs and identify areas for improvement

• Willing to learn and have good computer skills
• Learning to use cost estimation software and tools
• Good mathematical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, dealing with clients
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Cost control: Ability to analyse costs and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
