About the Role

Fulfilment Operatives work with a core team to pick, check and pack vouchers, gift cards and bespoke Client orders in a timely manner and work towards daily targets. Tasks may include data entry to Royal Mail postage system. Picking and packing orders with diligence, care & attention to detail. Quality control and work hygiene is an important part of this role.


Principal Accountabilities

Operational Accountabilities

  • Accurately fulfilling any customer orders according to established quality standards and within agreed SLAs to ensure we meet our customers' high expectations
  • Handling the full range of vouchers and gift cards within our product range
  • Quality checking to the highest standard
  • Working efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Consistently achieve targets set for the department
  • Adhere to housekeeping, safety, quality and production standards
  • Ensure PCS letters, payment cards and giros are correctly matched up with the right customer details
  • Ensure that a quality fulfilment service is delivered for all mailings as per mailing specification briefs supplied by internal customers e.g. Marketing
  • Ensure that any Client packing uses the correct stationery for the client
  • Ensure all orders are scanned so full traceability can be maintained once our products have been passed to the relevant courier service
  • Liaise with suppliers (Royal Mail, DX, Whistl) to arrange collection of post to meet internal deadlines
  • Producing end of day royal mail reports
  • Daily use of Royal mail click and drop systems

Risk Management

  • Understanding serial voucher numbers in order to match them to the correct customer and packing
  • Identify any people or process issues which may cause fulfilment or quality issues
  • Escalate any issues to management
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follow agreed risk and compliance and Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Embrace a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations

Knowledge/Experience/Technical Skills/Behaviours

Essential

  • You have previous experience of working in a fulfilment/mailing house environment
  • You are process and procedure orientated
  • You have excellent time management handling multiple tasks per day with deadlines
  • You have impeccable attention to detail is essential
  • You are a fast learner with good communication skills
  • You are able to use initiative and common sense
  • You are trustworthy and reliable
  • You have the ability to follow instructions for tasks required
  • You are not afraid to ask for help when required
  • You are hardworking and reliable with a positive cando attitude
  • You are a team player
  • You are highly numerical
  • You have the capability to work under pressure and achieve daily targets

Desirable

  • GCSE or equivalent
  • Have picking/packing/order fulfilment exp
