CNC Operator - WEEKEND SHIFT

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a small team of 3 CNC operators on our established weekend shift.

You will need to be a reliable, trustworthy and self-sufficient person from a CNC machining background.

Product training and machine familiarisation will be provided to bring the right person up to speed but a reasonable level of competency in machine operating will be expected.

Weekend shift Friday/Saturday/Sunday

06:00 - 18:00 (30-minute lunch) - A total of 34.5 paid hours attracting a 50% shift premium.

Possible overtime available during the week is available during busy periods.

Responsibilities:

Adhering to company H&S and Quality procedures.
Operating CNC Lathes with bar feeders using FANUC controls.
Ability to read drawings to perform in process quality checks.
Inspection of parts using micrometres, verniers & hard gauges.
Adjusting offsets as required.
Changing carbide inserts/drills/taps as required.
Daily Preventative maintenance checks.
Completion of production documentation.
A Fork Lift Truck licence would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous First Aid training an advantage.
Free tea/coffee/sugar/milk is provided.
Onsite parking.

Training will be provided on day shift initially (Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:00) before moving onto the weekend shift, however flexibility can be offered to suit previous experience.

Rate:
£ £12.50 per hour during training, £ £18.75 per hour (including shift premium) once working on weekend shift.
