The Role
Our centralised corporate services departments operate on a global scale but work like a local team.


Combining their experience and expertise, they work collaboratively with the aim to continuously improve our vital people and business functions.


We are currently expanding our Human Resource capabilities, by appointing a People Attraction Specialist, who will design and deliver a comprehensive recruitment strategy to meet the needs that our business growth requires.


This newly created role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and developing innovative solutions for finding exceptional talent.

Ideal for someone at coordinator level, looking to take the next step, the People Attraction Specialist will initially be responsible for planning and delivering a Global Graduate programme, in partnership with global hiring managers and the People AttractionConsultant


Following the successful implementation of an established graduate programme, the incumbent will also build their knowledge of Shearwater's wider operational recruitment - supporting the global HR team by coordinating our key recruitment processes.


Duties and responsibilities

Global Graduate Programme

  • Work in partnership with regional HR Managers to identify global headcount requirements across all business lines and locations
  • Prepare regional recruitment strategies
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key contacts at target universities identifying opportunities to build brand awareness within selected universities
  • Design a university event schedule based on budget and headcount requirements
  • Organise the event logistics for the UK
  • Advertise graduate vacancies on careers portals
  • Ensure marketing collateral requirements are identified for global campaigns
  • Assist in the coordination of recruitment activity at conferences (EAGE, PETEX etc)
  • Contribute to the continual development of the employer branding marketing portfolio
  • Track recruitment campaign spend and deliver appropriate MI reports
  • Maximise the use of social media to support recruitment campaigns
  • When required, attend university events across the UK and Europe
  • Organise and facilitate graduate assessment centres
  • Onboarding of graduates, to include a global induction held annually

Operational Recruitment coordination

  • Provide hiring managers and relevant stakeholders with appropriate information pre and post interview.
  • Participate in adhoc process improvement projects.
  • Administration of employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Support with the onboarding of employees and preemployment checks.

Education and experience

  • Previous experience within a HR department in either a generalist or recruitment capacity
  • Ideally but not essentially, experience coordinating and administering recruitment processes
  • Proven experience in customer facing role
  • Experience and confidence in public speaking
  • Demonstrable administrative skills
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Good spoken and written English skills

  • Well structured, organised, and detail orientated.
  • Possess a positive attitude, confidence and the initiative to seek new ways of doing things
  • A team player with communication skills to deal with staff at all levels
  • Detail oriented
