Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting healthcare professionals in providing clients care and support
  • Taking and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
  • Observing and reporting changes in client's condition or behavior to the health care team
  • Assisting clients in feeding, as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients

Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Compassion and empathy towards clients' needs and concerns
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recording information and following protocols
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods of time and lifting/moving patients

Pay:
£10.50-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Every weekend
  • Flexitime
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Care home: 1 year (preferred)
- healthcare: 1 year (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Castle Cary (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Castle Cary: Relocate before starting work (required)
