Description

Due to continued business growth, Batson Groundcare Ltd are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative based in and around Tow Law, County Durham to join their team.

Immediate starts available for those with current Enhanced DBS certificates.


Experience:


Main duties and responsibilities for this role include grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, clearing leaves, spraying, litter picking, and using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery to ensure all sites and external areas are maintained to a high standard.


To succeed in this role, you must be passionate about working outdoors and be prepared to work across agile and flexible environments.

As a company we encourage our staff to take pride in all types of works completed, therefore high standards of work is expected.

Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not necessary, as is a PAI & PA6 spraying license. A full driving license is also preferable as some roles require use of company vehicles.


All operatives are required to report relevant information such as site hazards, health and safety issues, vehicles, machinery and equipment checks in accordance with health and safety procedures, and undertake additional training as and when required.


Grounds Maintenance duties:


  • Grass Cutting
  • Hedge Cutting
  • Strimming
  • Weeding
  • Application of Herbicide
  • Edging
  • Moss removal
  • Shrub Border Maintenance
  • Litter Picking
  • Minor Vegetation Removal Works
  • General area tidy up

Overtime rates:
Time&1/2 (Weekends)
