GLL is looking for a part time Community Sports Officer based in the Islington Partnership. Community is at the heart of everything we do.

Here at GLL, one of our key aims is to make sport and fitness available and accessible to the communities in which we operate.

We are investing in our facilities and need a passionate Community Sports Officer to help us develop community participation in sport.

The main focus of this role will be managing the Islington team at the London Youth Games. The London Youth Games is an annual multi-sport event held in London, England.

The London Youth Games offer competitive opportunities for young people aged 7 to 18 across approximately 30 sports every year.

As Community Sports Officer you will work with local schools, clubs and community organisations to select and mange the squads for a variety of different sports.

This is an interesting role that will use your passion for sport as well as your people skills. The main objective of the role is to interact with the community to encourage and increase participation in sport.

You will be dealing with a range of people so you will need to have excellent communication skills to be able to relate to each type of person.

You will work closely with the Community Sport Manager, General Managers, Partnership Managers and the local authority to assess the sports that you will be promoting as well as your methods and successes.
