This global mechanical engineering solutions and MRO products company that has been going for over 70 years and provides a multitude of sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, the NHS, manufacturing and petro-chem with service and products,is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the Bristol and Gloucester region.


  • Managing around 90% existing business and 10% new business, clients bring in a revenue of around £3M per year
  • Manage current strategic customers and cross sell
  • You will be responsible for generating new sales leads in existing customers & developing new customers in your region
  • The role will require you to identify & penetrate gaps where the company doesn't supply currently
  • Understand customer needs and create a compelling customer engagement strategy
  • Create & deliver presentations to clients as required (ideally via PowerPoint)
  • Responsible for keeping up with market trends & conducting competitor analysis
  • Stakeholder management with customers, and suppliers that enable alignment of customer needs and exceptional delivery on our commitments.

  • UK MRO products experience would be ideal (but not essential)
  • Previous sales experience into the water/utilities, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage or petrochem sectors would be ideal
  • Technical & Commercial engineering background (Ideal but not essential)
  • Experience selling Bearings, Valves, Power Transmission, Seals, Fluid Power, Hoses (ERIKS core products)
  • Experience of selling to the Food & Beverage, Petro Chemical, Automotive, Aerospace, General Engineering sectors would be ideal (not essential)
  • A strong track record of winning new business as well as maintaining existing accounts (essential)
