Description

We are recruiting for an
Employee Benefits Associate Consultant to join our busy team in
Bromsgrove/ Birmingham. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, building excellent relationships with client contacts and insurers along with working with experienced consultants on larger clientsto gain experience and knowledge.

You will also be engaged in some areas of administrative support but will also delegate projects to the account managers whilst maintaining overall responsibility for client delivery.


Overview of duties:


  • Provide consultancy on the full range of employee benefits products and services, in particular Group Pensions, Risk Benefits such as Life Cover and Income Protection, and Flexible Benefits and Wellness Programmes
  • Obtain a full understanding of client's current circumstances and provisions together with future aims
  • Research and communicate appropriate options to corporate clients in conjunction with Account Managers
  • Provide clients with information on new and existing products and services to ensure their benefits offering remains competitive
  • Consult with clients to explain the potential benefits and disadvantages of various products and services
  • Generate new business from existing clients by building strong relationships and becoming a trusted advisor and conducting regular strategy meetings with clients
  • Create, build and maintain long term client relationships, through quality of service and advice, meeting clients face to face where possible
  • Develop relationships with NFP internal stakeholders, Corporate Insurance and the Private Client teams and other Introducers to ensure the NFP book continues to grow (and in line with individual targets)
  • Adhere to policy, procedures and best practice guidance with regards to engagement, retention and advice for corporate clients and NFP procedures on how clients are processed and managed
  • Work in conjunction with the relevant Account Manager to ensure clients receive outstanding customer service, including agreement of strategy for new clients and regular catch ups with AMs regarding best practice and updates on specific clients
  • Compose and deliver benefits presentations to client employee groups, taking the Account manager on face to face visits where possible
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and comply with the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority, completing compliance assessments as required
  • Proactively keep up to date with the benefits market including new products and trends, sharing ideas with the wider consulting team
  • Work alongside experienced consultants on larger client plans

Knowledge, skills and abilities:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all types of corporate clients and colleagues
  • Driven and motivated to achieve client retention and development targets
  • A focus on sales as well as service
  • Ability to identify opportunities and drive forward relevant new business opportunities from existing clients
  • Able to express themselves clearly and positively, both verbally and in written communication.
  • Excellent listening skills with confidence to discuss complex issues with C-Suite level individuals
  • Willing to travel extensively across the UK
  • Collaborates across teams and ensures consistency of service offering

Education and experience:


  • A background in employee benefits ideally within Risk and Pensions
  • Experience in a sales environment / account management
  • Knowledge of the benefits landscape including group pensions, autoenrolment and group risk and healthcare

Salary:
Competitive depending upon experience


Hours:35 hours Monday - Friday


Location:
Birmingham/ Bromsgrove - Hybrid
