NXTGEN have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join a rapidly evolving and changing business based in Peterborough.

The role is initially offered on a 12 month FTC to cover a period of Maternity leave but this business has a historyof retaining top talent so other permanent opportunities may arise at the end of this initial period.

You will be joining during an exciting period of growth and integration as the business goes through the next phase of it's evolution, creating great challengewithin the role.

As Senior Finance Manager, you will lead the technical reporting team to deliver all monthly financial statements and consolidation.

This senior leadership role will take ownership for the continuous improvement of reporting processes andaccounting policies to drive quality financial data within the business.

The Senior Finance Manager will also monitor the financial risk register, working closely with assurance teams to ensure all risks are controlled and mitigated.

You will also create aclose and collaborative working relationship with the central tax team to ensure that all VAT and corporate Tax submissions are completed.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

Lead the preparation of all technical reporting for the business, ensuring compliance under IFRS and that demanding group deadlines are met
Own the statutory close at half year and year end, acting as the key point of contact with external auditors
Ensure all VAT and corporate tax submissions are delivered on a quarterly and annual basis
Drive good financial governance across the business, leading any changes to financial reporting policies and maintaining the risk register
Encourage the team to be visible within the financial community, providing technical accounting advice to budget and stakeholders
Ad hoc project support as part of the ongoing review of systems and processes in this changing environment
