Description

Chubb now has an opportunity for a Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Manager to cover the South of England (London, Birmingham, Reading, Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford).

The main goal of this role is to play a leading role in the assurance and continuousimprovement of the business by providing Quality and Safety Leadership to all front line & back office functions

Previous knowledge of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, the associated industry standards and legislation for their installation, commissioning and maintenance is a distinct advantage


Required to play a key role in the deployment of Quality, EHS & Product Safety Strategies, to ensure optimisation of key processes results in safe working practices, and the delivery of safe, reliable products & services.


Assist in the planning, development and implementation of programs, methods and procedures for occupational, safety, health; energy conservation and environmental protection.


Work with Sales & Commercial functions to ensure that Quality & Safety Planning requirements for National, and key regional accounts capture all corporate, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain company & Engineer compliance to the relevent accreditation schemes.


Ensure delivery of QEHS audit plans through successful delivery of designated Field based Inspections, Product & Process Audits, and supplier surveillance.


Qualifications
Professional qualification is desirable (NEBOSH, CQI, BEng etc.)

Experience/Knowledge of Operations in the Fire & Security sector preferred

Previous auditing experience essential

Experience of safety in a service environment or a field based mobile work force is essential

Experience in a Quality Management Role or a Degree in Quality Management is preferential

Experience of accident investigation and identifying corrective action.

Current knowledge of EHS practices and legislation in the UK / Ireland

Good knowledge & understanding of standards and legislative requirements in the Fire & Security industry

There needs to be technical understanding of specific standards dealing with Fire Alarms and detection "BS BS5839-6, BS5266-1
