Job purpose:


To help organise and supervise and manage the Health & Safety procedures and practices at EHA, this role will be working alongside our H&S officer.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working to review and develop risk assessments & safe operating systems
  • Providing Risk management advice
  • Monitoring health and safety compliance
  • Able to carry out effective investigations, audits, inspections and compile reports and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Updating and maintaining of H&S Policies
  • Advising Management on H&S Matters
  • Reporting and investigating of any accidents
  • Inductions and safety training of staff
  • Manage and maintain the fleet of company vehicles
  • Complete all daily/weekly/monthly checks on machinery as required
  • Preparation and completion of all H&S documentation

Requirements:

Proven H&S background

Experience in working in a manufacturing environment and a desire to make this a safer place to be.

The ability to work independently

Attention to detail is essential

Computer literate

Excellent time management skills

Delegation skills and tact are essential

Organised

Be able to work on own initiative

Good levels of motivation

understanding of confidentiality requirements of the role


Benefits
Salary is negotiable

Hours are 9-5pm mon - friday (40 hours per week)

Flexi time is offered between the hours of 8-5.30pm
