Requirements:

• NVQ L2 is advantageous
• The Care Certificate is advantageous
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Compassionate and caring nature
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Understand the importance of getting the care right first time
• Be able to demonstrate every day the homes values
• Be comfortable in challenging poor practice and reporting appropriately when necessary

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, both care and social needs.
• Help with residents eating their meals
• Perform light housekeeping duties for example tidying up residents bedroom and lounges
• Escort clients to appointments and outings
• Administer medication reminders as needed
• Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the supervisor
• Use your life experiences to help improve services and the lives of residents
• Take part in both individual appraisal sessions and Team meetings
• Undertake all prescribed training ( face to face and online) to develop your knowledge and care practice
• Must be available to work across 7 days with planned 2 day min breaks.
