Health and Safety Adviser at East Suffolk Services Ltd**
Salary:Band 8 (SCP 33 to 37) £39,493 - £43,516 pa**
Base Location: Working between Lowestoft and Woodbridge


East Suffolk Services is a brand-new company, wholly owned by East Suffolk Council, with whom the Council will commence their main contract in July 2023.

The contract will cover Waste, Public Realm, Parking, CCTV, Community Alarms, Facilities Management and Cemeteries.


We are looking for an individual who can provide professional advice, guidance, support and training in matters relating to health and safety in respect of employees, activities and workplaces and monitor the company's compliance with health and safety requirements.

They will also develop policies, procedures and working practices that satisfy the legal duties placed on East Suffolk Services relating to occupational health and safety.


  • Extensive health & safety knowledge and experience.
  • Previous experience in highlighting areas of poor Health and Safety performance and providing advice on safe working practices.
  • Experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experience in developing a health and safety culture within the workplace.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or level 6 NVQ diploma in health & safety or equivalent qualification.
