Serco - Defence

Life Raft RAF Brize Norton - OX18 3LX

Full-time, 37 hours per week

£30,900 per Anum + Benefits


At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997.Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and groundcontrol services.

RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, and as a Survival Equipment Technician, you'll contribute enormously to the vital work carriedout here.

You'll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.

Working within the Serco Survival Equipment and Life Raft team, this role will focus on:

The Maintenance, Modification and Rectification of Life Rafts, Life Jackets, Survival Packs and Survival Equipment (SE) for aircraft operated by RAF Brize Norton.


Working Regime:

Mon-Fri 37 Hour week

08:00 hrs
-17:00 Mon
  • Thu
08:00 hrs

  • 13:00 Fri
Standby and overtime as required.


What you'll need to do the role:

  • You will be expected to have a minimum of 2 years relevant In Industry or the Armed Forces on Aircraft Survival Equipment Maintenance.
  • Ideally Life Rafts, Life Jackets andSurvival Packs.
  • The ability to understand and work to technical manuals, regulatory requirements, appropriate MoD legislation and local Serco and RAF Brize Norton processes and procedures.
  • Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to achieve MoD Security Clearance,
