Service & Engineering Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced and driven Service Advisor to join our fast growing company.

This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the Process Instrument Solutions approach to solution provision and grow key aftersales accounts in new and existing business fields through direct client engagement, providing basic technical support and identifying and advising on calibration and maintenance requirements.

This role is based at our head office in Suffolk, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Embracing flexible working, the position is office based with occasional external interaction required with both suppliers and customers.

This is a key role in delivering a fantastic customer experience, generating business growth within the service department and creating customer satisfaction.

You will be providing service advisory information, creating booking, monitoring installation projects and following up with customers who have some of the best end to end process instrumentation solutions in the market.

You will be a highly motivated individual who works well on your own or within a team and have a real passion for outstanding customer service.


The role sits at the heart of the business and plays a crucial role in ensuring that our customers are supported.

  • Provide support and feedback to the business on all aspects of our customer portfolio.
  • Demonstrate incredible customer service skills.
  • A capability to absorb basic technical information and disseminate that in a simple understandable way.
  • The ability to manage bookings and manage a customers journey from enquiry to delivery.
  • Be a support resource for colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Provide updates and support to our customers, via our customer portals and ticketing systems.
  • The capability and confidence to discuss instrumentation solution, maintenance requirements and upselling of services with a wide variety of customers and industry.

Experience and qualifications:


  • We are looking for people with a passion for customer service, along with an interest in technology.
  • A knowledge of a wide variety of process control technologies including level, flow, temperature, pressure, process control, automation and an underpinning grasp of how digitalization can be applied in the context of those technologies within the Process Industries is desirable but not essential.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • A good understanding of customer management and expectation handling.
