The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately into Xero.
- Ensure the various bank accounts are reconciled in Xero.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, follow up receipts and prepare payments.
- Prepare monthend journals and reconciliations for duty, payroll, accruals, prepayments, stock, fixed assets.
- Ensure the accuracy of data in Xero to support the Finance Director and the Brewing Operations Team.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people across departments.
- Enthusiastic, faster learner, able to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Xero and Excel.
- Good understanding of monthend process and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Previous experience of using Xero within the accounting function of a small business.
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience.

£12,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 per week
