Cover Supervisor Job Role

Long-Term Position until End of Academic Year

South Liverpool Secondary School

Are you passionate about education and keen to make a positive impact on the lives of young people? South Liverpool Secondary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

This is a long-term position until the end of the academic year, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
Ensure students' behaviour and engagement meet the school's expectations
Provide guidance and support to students during class activities
Maintain a safe and secure environment for learning
Report and record any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff members
Assist with administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Experience working with secondary schoolaged students (desirable)
Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake a new one
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Adaptable and flexible approach to work
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
