Description
Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University?

Come and be part of an innovative and influential University department delivering excellent IT and business services to a leading Russell Group institution.

With a reputation for engaging staff and students in partnership to deliver services, for three years running UK students have voted us best for IT support.

We are committed to delivering and supporting excellent customer focussed services and to do this we need to recruit the best staff, invested in higher education and dedicated to supporting sector leading learning, teaching and research - and that's why we need you

We have an exciting opportunity in our department for someone with a passion for the Data Lifecyle looking to use their skills in Data Management to make an impact across our data improvement initiatives.

Using your skills and experience, you will be responsible for developing our capabilities in data anonymisation, data archival and data quality improvement, and you will play a key role in our development of standards, policies, documentation, and procedures across the entire data lifecycle.

You'll be an accomplished technical analyst who's comfortable interrogating systems and profiling data, and you'll possess proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to address challenges around data lineage, utilisation and quality.

You'll be a great communicator, able to articulate complex concepts accessibly, and comfortable playing a role that crosscuts both technical and business-facing teams.

And you'll be a passionate advocate for implementing and championing data management best practice and policy across the Department and wider Institution.

You'll hold a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, or other relevant discipline - or possess equivalent demonstrable experience - and you'll be able to evidence a commitment to your ongoing professional development.

We are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.

We're one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.

The University's Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect.

We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
