Hours: 6am till 6pm, 4 on 4 off - permanent days only


Location:
Commutable from Barton upon Humber, Hull, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Beverley and surrounding areas

Responsibilities


This role is to as a Production Supervisor / Production Team Leader is to oversee and lead a production and engineering team consisting of 12 Multi-Disciplined Staff, including team performance, change management, continuous improvements, KPI's.


This role would suit someone who is motivated and excited by challenges and sees them as opportunities to make an impact, to bring forward their experience to make change and improvements.

The role requires a "hands on" approach with strong leadership and change management capabilities.

Deliver production targets; volume / yield / waste reduction
Lead and organise a team to ensure optimal plant performance
Support, promote and lead Continuous Improvements culture and projects in line with objectives
Ensure the safety of all site personnel at all times
Have an excellent knowledge of the plant and process to help make informed decisions
Effective communication with other departments and stakeholders at all times
Ensure that all materials and equipment are available when required; i.e. packaging materials / additives / PPE etc
Identify training requirements of staff and liaise with appropriate departments to ensure that it is actioned
Investigate any accidents, injuries or near misses within 24 hours and communicate to all relevant parties
Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times


Requirements:


You will be a Production Management Professional with Leadership experience - such as Team Leader OR Supervisor or Shift Manager or Department Manager - all considered.

Strong leadership qualities who can influence and promote changes
Hands on and driven to succeed in meeting objectives

A qualification in a relevant field would be welcomed but by no means essential - business, engineering, production, technical field etc.

Continuous Improvements experience - Made improvements to better the performance
Strong communicator, ability to talk to people of all levels
