Description

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and ensure the smooth running of our exciting programme of events and activities in the Yorkshire and Humber region.


Role Specific Duties:


  • Develop and implement a new schedule of events for social enterprises and other VCSE and corporate organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber region
  • Coordinate events at Impact Hub Bradford and at outreach locations across the Yorkshire and Humber region
  • Support the promotion of Impact Hub Bradford events
  • Manage bookings, venue and catering logistics with the Community Host
  • To identify, coordinate and manage event facilitators as required
  • Manage front of house at Impact Hub Bradford, welcoming and greeting members and visitors to our space

General Duties


We are a small organisation and as such are dependent upon team members willing to be flexible and support one another.

In addition to the duties outlined above, there are a number of additional responsibilities that we expect all staff to undertake, regardless of role or seniority:


  • Work flexibly to support the whole team
  • Maintain databases and manual records of the organisation.
  • Keep the office environment safe, clean and tidy
  • To support and be willing to participate in any special projects as required by Senior Management
  • To be responsible for day to day management of IHB assets. Conduct routine tasks
  • To communicate with IHB stakeholders, such as Directors, corporate partners, funders and and staff in a confidential, sensitive and professional manner
  • To carry out other duties commensurate with this post that may be required by the organisation

Essential skills

  • Demonstrable commitment to addressing inequalities for communities which are underserved and minoritised
  • Relevant experience in coordinating and delivering workshops and/or events for small and large groups of people
  • Good organisation, communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent numeracy, spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure
  • Proven strong organisation and problem solving skills

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge and experience of the VCSE sector in the Yorkshire & Humber region
  • Experience in delivering engaging and inclusive events for people from underserved communities
  • Previous experience in front of house roles

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 22.5 per week


Salary:
£21,255.00-£23,500.00 per year
