Job Summary
LJS Aviation is an Aviation parts stockist specializing in emergency evacuation slides based in Washington, West Sussex. We have an exciting opportunity available for a full time Quality Inspector to join the team.


Responsibilities and Duties

Your role will be to ensure all stock and shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and to assist with the smooth running of the Stores Department.

• Inspect incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity requirements, and match the purchase/sales/repair order specifications.
• Verify that all necessary documentation, such as delivery notes and packing lists, trace documents and certificates accompany the goods and are accurate and complete.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to ensure that products meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Record and report any discrepancies or damages found during the inspection process.
• Ensure that incoming and outgoing goods are properly labelled, tagged, and stored in the correct location within the warehouse in the correct packaging.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all goods and their location in the warehouse.
• Pack and label outgoing goods in accordance with relevant regulations and customer requirements.
• Communicate with stakeholders to resolve any issues related to the quality or quantity of incoming or outgoing goods.
• Follow standard operating procedures and comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to quality control and inspection techniques.
• Assist in the development and implementation of logistics policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Move and handle all aircraft parts and other products in accordance with company regulations.
• Use counterbalance/flexi forklift within the warehouse and to load and offload lorries.
• Carry out equipment safety checks to ensure all equipment is in good working order prior to use.
• Perform store checks, inventory audits and other house keeping duties in the warehouse.

Qualifications and Skills

• Working knowledge of Quantum software preferred but not essential
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of using counterbalance/reach forklift, forklift license ideal but not essential
• Dangerous Goods Awareness training preferred but not essential
• Experience of working in a similar role required
• Formal qualifications are not essential, but a good standard of English and Mathematics are required
• High attention to detail
• Good organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage workloads
• Excellent communication skills at all levels

£22,000-35,000+ dependent on experience
