A new opportunity for a Credit Control Team Leader

About Our Client:

A brand new opportunity for a Credit Control Team Leader to join a successful business based in Guildford. You will report into the Finance Manager and lead a team of - Managing a team of 3 Credit Controllers

  • Opening, setup and closing of customer accounts in the business system which will update the financial system.
  • Undertaking credit checks or trade references, setting credit limit and confirming approval to open with the Finance Director.
  • Liaising with Credit Insurers if a limit above the discretionary is required.
  • Reviewing and acting on credit alerts
  • Managing collections for customers
  • Liaise with solicitors monthly, providing a customer list of accounts going to legal where an LBA or similar is required. Manage the progress of any legal collections via the solicitor's website. Write off any bad debts through the financial system (biannually).
  • Manage any claims lodged with Credit Insurers.

The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience within a similar role
  • May have an accountancy qualification
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to build strong relationships
