Location:
Flexible, with regular travel to our London Head Office (at least once per week)


Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, but we're open to flexible working

Salary:
£32,170 - £40,841 per annum (plus inner London weighting allowance of £3,344 if applicable)

About the role


You'll help to build relationships with philanthropists — including individuals, families, trusts, and foundations — who have the potential to offer significant support to enable the British Red Cross to reach more people in crisis.


With experience in nurturing relationships with both existing and new supporters, you will work closely with your Transformational Giving team colleagues to drive income growth to advance our Philanthropy strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will have...

  • Experience of developing relationships with philanthropy donors and providing excellence in donor stewardship
  • Past success in securing gifts from philanthropy donors and achieving income targets
  • Confident, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • A track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to produce complex propositions and reports
  • A firm understanding of donorcentred, relationshipdriven fundraising best practice

Say hello to the team
The Philanthropy department consists of the Major Giving team, the Transformational Giving team, and the Stewardship and Operations team. The department is responsible for delivering BRC's philanthropy strategy and leads on relationships with all philanthropy donors.

Following a recent restructure, this directorate has increased investment and focus to realise ambitious growth in income over the next three years and beyond.
