Job Summary:

Huntley's Farm Style Restaurant, nestled outside of Preston, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our restaurant's kitchen.

Your contributions will directly impact the quality of service we provide to our valued guests. This position is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts required.


Key Responsibilities:

Dishwashing and Cleaning: Responsible for washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and cooking tools. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area at all times.

Assisting Culinary Team: Support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean equipment and utensils during meal preparation.

Kitchen Organization: Properly store and organize cleaned equipment, ensuring they are readily accessible for the culinary team's use.

Trash and Recycling: Manage disposal of kitchen waste and recycling according to established guidelines.

Stock Management: Assist with inventory management, ensuring supplies are well-stocked and readily available for daily operations.

Adherence to Hygiene Standards: Follow all sanitation and health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Assist During Service: Occasionally provide support during busy meal service times by helping with food preparation, plating, and other tasks as required.

Occasional Weekend Shifts: Be flexible to work some weekend shifts as needed to accommodate peak business periods.


Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as the restaurant is located outside of Preston.
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekend shifts based on business needs.
