We have an opportunity for a Technical Superintendent to join our client, a Ship Owning company, at their office in Renfrewshire.

As Technical Superintendent, you will be part of a highly motivated group, and will be responsible for all aspects of technical management of assigned vessels, contributing to a reliable, safe and cost-effective operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to take on a key role within a busy ship management environment.
This position is office based, with expectation of worldwide travel for vessel inspections and repair work.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT- A driven individual, with previous seagoing experience in a senior capacity i.e Chief Engineer holding a Class 1 CoC or equivalent. Experience working on board Oil / Chemical tankers. (preferred) Experience in a similar role ashore. (desirable) Dry dock and budget planning experience. Applicants must hold the current, full and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
JOB DESCRIPTION- Manage day-to-day technical operation and performance. Monitor and control running cost budgets to meet goals. Identify areas for improvements, evaluate and improve vessel performance. Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory, class and other third-party requirements. Supervise and report repairs. Manage all phases of the dry-docking process from initial planning to completion. Flexibility to travel worldwide.
