Assistant Transport Planner


Salary Range £32,979 - £35,607 (Grade 11 SCP 27-30)

  • To help with the development and implementation of the County Council's transport policies, strategies and plans, and with the provision of transport input to the development and delivery of wider economic, land use, social and environmental policies and strategies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- equivalent demonstrable work experience including in one or more of transport strategy, policy and plan development; traffic management; or the assessment of the impacts of new development.

  • Knowledge of strategic transportation issues.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, policies and procedures relevant to highways and transportation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to provide relevant, concise oral and written advice.
