Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience in supporting individuals with autism? Join our dedicated team at an inclusive SEN school in Haringey as a Behaviour Mentor from September 2023.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Empower Students:
Provide one-on-one support tailored to the unique needs of students with SEMH, helping them overcome challenges and develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills.
Collaborate and Innovate:
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to create personalized education plans and behavior management strategies, ensuring a holistic support system for our students.
Nurture the Environment:
Foster positive relationships and create a nurturing atmosphere within the school community, shaping the well-being and happiness of our students.
Requirements:
Experience and Expertise:
Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or supporting students with autism is desired but not essential. Knowledge of autism and SEMH strategies and interventions is highly valued.
Compassionate Approach:
Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs and a commitment to their overall well-being. Patience, empathy, and resilience are essential for addressing behavioral and emotional challenges.
Strong Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
