About your role
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Facilities Manager to manage the estate/facilities function of an expansive estate covering over 350 acres.
As The Facilities Manager you will lead and direct the facilities team to provide an exceptional service and ensure that this estate is maintained to the highest levels.
This is an incredibly diverse and rewarding role which can offer a varied workload anda working life where no 2 days are the same.
Your role will consist of 3 main elements:
- Facilities Management
- Managing a portfolio of residential facilities on a large estate.
- People Management
- Managing an inhouse team + specialist subcontractors
- Stakeholder Management
- Client liaison and relationship management
The primary function of your role is to provide effective management of the estates team of 15+ employees which provides planned and reactive maintenance services to the estate.
You will have 2 direct reports and will deputise for the General Manager in their absence.
You will also have responsibility for liaising with a number of key stakeholders including the board of directors, external bodies and residents.
About you
- Experience of managing a Facilities function must include hard services/maintenance
- Excellent manmanagement experience
- Current UK H&S knowledge
- IOSH qualification preferred
- Excellent budget management experience managed budgets of £1m
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Residential property management
- Experience of managing an estates function within an educational environment
