Description

The Machine Operative is responsible for operating machinery efficiently across various sections of the factory, ensuring high-quality product output and adherence to production schedules.

This role aims to maximise resource utilisation, minimise costs, and support Ecovyn's commitment to delivering exceptional service and product quality to our customers.

The role is a 4 on 4 off shift. You will work 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts and then have 4 days off. Shift Times are 6am - 6pm and 6pm to 6am.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machinery, including extruders, granulators, and pallet wrapping machines, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Conduct quality checks and complete relevant documentation to ensure products meet specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimise downtime.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Provide flexible support across the factory, including covering for breaks, absences, and in other areas as needed.

KPIs and Measurement Criteria:

Machine Output: Volume of products manufactured within specified timeframes.
Quality: Compliance with product quality standards and reduction in the number of defects or rejections.
Machine Utilisation: Effective use of machinery, including minimisation of downtime and maximisation of operational efficiency.

Pay:
£11.95-£12.95 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
