The role

Why we are recruiting for this role


The Social Media Officer will work with teams across the organisation to create engaging social media content, plan and deliver social media campaigns, monitor and respond to audiences on our social media platforms.

We are looking for a bold and creative individual to join our expanding team.

What you will be doing


You will strategically identify, and post engaging content for our social media platforms and websites which will inspire people to support our work.

You will interact with our communities on these platforms to increase engagement, followers, and the quality of their experience.

You will identify key influencers and conversations where we can engage to better showcase our work and expand our reach.


Your responsibilities:


Social Media:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to create engaging social media content for use across a range of social media channels including Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, LinkedIn and Flickr for key projects and campaigns that is effective and on-brand, following relevant sign off procedures.

  • Produce targeted and highquality newsletters to our audiences
  • Develop high quality and highimpact social media content including graphics, videos and other multimedia formats that effectively inform and engage external audiences and supports media and advocacy campaigns.
  • Develop a social media strategy that is understanding the persona of our supporters, coordinate and execute social media strategy for growth, engagement, advocacy and content sharing, establishing effective benchmarks for measuring impact.
  • Develop a branding guideline and communications strategy for staff members to follow and work with other team members to ensure that all content on our social media feeds aligns with organisational, and specific project strategies.
  • Moderate and respond to comments and interact with followers to best develop our online communities.
  • Produce regular reports on social media and websites performance.
  • Use Google Analytics (or similar) to produce reports on referrals to the ATM and ISA websites and conversions attributable to social content.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of developments, innovations, and new tech in social media and identify any that may be of benefit/interest to ATM.
  • Proactively engage and support of ISA inquiries.
  • Represent ISA and ATM at external events.
Digital Fundraising

  • Improve response rates and increase online donor retention.
  • Assist with online and offline fundraising efforts.
  • Content Management System to be created to engage the audience all the time.
  • To maintain our online Customer Management System which we can develop, nurture, track and update individual donors.
  • To provide regular reports to our digital donors about our work and achievement to sustain donors in the long term.
  • Provide an easytounderstand report for our individual donors.
  • To refresh and update our individual giving database.
  • To design and test a giving campaign based on social media platforms' insights.
  • Engage donors, stakeholders, and clients to promote the achievements of ATM.
  • To design and implement an impactful and sustainable fundraising effort to leverage the giving potential of our supporters.
  • To provide consistent engagement with our supporters and potential donors across all of our social media platforms.

About you - You are:


  • Able to demonstrate your success at managing a Facebook page, a Twitter feed, an Instagram feed, and websites for a charity.
  • Able to demonstrate your success at creating and delivering social media strategies for specific projects which increased audience engagement.
  • Able to show your experience at producing regular reports using Facebook Insights, Twitter
Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar tools.

  • Comfortable at ensuring that social media content remains within the organisations' guidelines.
  • Datadriven and have an evidenceled approach to social media strategy.
  • Up to date with the latest trends/developments in social media communications.
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and respond flexibly.
  • Able to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
