Description

We are looking for Welfare Officers who want to make a difference to the lives of adults and children with challenging behaviours and learning disabilities such as autism, down syndrome and mental health problems.

As a Welfare Officer, you will be providing a combination of support, personal care and domestic care depending on the service in which you work.

While working as a Welfare Officer you will be empathetic and understanding of the trauma those in your care have suffered which can manifest into both mental and physical challenging behaviours

If you meet the above criteria as a support worker, we can offer you

Variety of shift patterns including long days, early/late shifts, waking nights and sleeps
Flexible working hours, you work when YOU want to work
Ongoing training
Hourly rates of £9.50 per hour + holiday pay accrued
Double pay on bank holidays
Opportunity to transition into a full time, permanent position
Day trips out to local attractions including the zoo, garden centre, them parks, beach trips and in some cases even mini holiday breaks away
Creating and participating in activities based around the residents hobbies and interests

Most importantly you must be

passionate about providing the best level of care and encouraging mental and physical development of service users.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Salary:
From £10.62 per hour
