    Description

    Are you passionate about early years education and supporting children's development? Join our friendly and inclusive team at Gunthorpe Primary School as a Childcare Practitioner. You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and education for children in our setting. This is a varied role, covering the EYFS curriculum, acting as a key person for a small group of children and supervising after-school club sessions. You'll help create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

    Within this role you will work 25 hours per week, 13:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, term time only 38 weeks per academic year

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Planning and delivering EYFS curriculum activities
    • Supporting children's learning and conducting regular observations and assessments
    • Acting as a key person to nominated children, tracking progress and building strong relationships with families
    • Supervising children during after-school clubs, including providing homework support and leading engaging activities
    • Ensuring all safeguarding, health & safety, and dietary requirements are met
