About the role and the team
As Progression Coach, you will manage a caseload of young people, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs; supporting them to progress towards independence.
You will also hold shared responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.
Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role with
four week rolling rota (2 weekends On & 2 weekends Off) that includes a combination of early, late shifts and weekend work.
About you:
You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
- Experience of working in a residential housing project for young people experiencing homelessness
- Experience of involving clients in the way services are designed to meet their needs
- Knowledge / understanding of the principle causes and effects of youth homelessness.
- Knowledge of the support needs of young people and how they might be best met including what statutory and voluntary resources are available.
