FJA are partnering with a Global Company who are looking to recruit an Analyst The role will be based out of their offices in the Chesterfield area.

The Analyst will be analysing data and designing and improving data-related business process in support of our clients rapidly expanding leak detection analytical services, for water utilities in the UK and globally.

Job role as an Analyst:

Work with colleagues to deliver leak detection analytical services, using inhouse software, Excel, Power BI, Python and other tools as needed.
Analyse business processes and recommend efficiency improvements.
Identify opportunities for process automation, and design appropriate automation algorithms and processes. Work with software development colleagues to implement, test, deploy and support these.
Develop wider knowledge and capability in order to provide support across our clients wider Analytics product portfolio.

Experience:

Be numerate and comfortable with data with a proven track record in processing, maintaining and analysing datasets of different types and sizes using a variety of different methodologies.
Experience in the development of mathematical models and data processing algorithms.
Aptitude for debugging IT systems such as software installation and configuration, security and permissions and fault finding on customer equipment.
Relational database processing skills (we use MS Access and MS SQL Server depending on the task), including constructing SQL query statements (including JOIN, GROUP BY and PIVOT structures), creating tables and queries, efficient design, using indexes toimprove performance.
Coding skills to automate data processing; we use a combination of Python, VBA and R languages depending on the task.
