Founded in 2010, we've built on our combined knowledge and creativity to launch some of the most popular and unique venues in South Wales including BrewStone, Bambu, BrewDog Swansea.

Peppermint, Frango and most recently Swansea Bay Pop Up. CHG also manages a number of ancillary companies in property management, security and cleaning.


The Role


CHG has a number of exciting growth plans on the horizon and requires the role of the Head of Sales to be a pivotal part of the strategy to maximise and grow the sales of Creative Hospitality Group.

Channels consist of Prebooked Sales through the venues, as well as developing sales through the Events side of the business, via the Vans, Pop-Ups and other initiatives as required.

The Head of Sales will also be a positive and inspiring leader of the sales team and an integral member of the CHG senior management team.


Reports:
Business Development Manager (direct, solid line) Sales and Events personnel (indirect, Executives)


Hours:
To suit the needs of the business (mostly Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend requirement)


Place of Work:

The Head of Sales is expected to spend time at all venues across Swansea and Cardiff as well as Head Office based in Uplands, Swansea.

Working from home is available in exceptional circumstances.


Personal Characteristics:

The Head of Sales will be a dynamic, driven salesperson, with strong leadership and motivational qualities, who is passionate about driving sales growth through their own endeavours and those of the team.

They will have excellent presentation skills, a keen eye for detail, be skilled at writing proposals and confident in negotiating with all levels of customer.

An excellent sales leader who leads from the front and supports, motivates and challenges the team. Personal Requirements A minimum of 4 years' sales experience, ideally in the hospitality industry. Demonstration of the ability to grow sales, within both consumer and corporate sales and events. Experience of creating, implementing and delivering a sales plan to achieve sales objectives and targets.

People-management experience in leading a team of a similar size, but with the ability to take on further responsibility as the business expands.

Ability to represent sales at board level, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and requirements of the function. Possessing the skills to identify and develop new channels of sales for the group. Confident in training in sales skills and guiding the development of the sales team members Proficient in enquiry management systems, powerpoint, excel, word and internal CHG systems


Responsibilities

  • Maximise prebooked sales for the business, driving all aspects of consumer and corporate sales (including birthdays, social parties, corporate events, restaurant bookings, Christmas parties)
  • Maximise sales from events, from vans, popups and other strategic sales channelsManage, motivate, train and lead the sales team, rewarding strong results and challenging underperformance
  • Effectively use all sales tools to drive prebooked sales, reactively and proactively generating manual and digital sales
  • Be responsible for gathering customer feedback to ensure repeat business and increased frequency of visit
  • Manage the most important corporate client base and ensure smooth delivery of events for such clients
  • Develop and manage the agency network, identifying key partners to grow corporate, hen & stag and travel & tour third party business
  • Create and execute a business plan for the business, detailing clear targets and objectives for oneself and the sales team
  • Attend networking events, raising the profile of both oneself and the business within the local community
  • Attend regular sales meetings, as required by the business, presenting sales performance updates and forthcoming sales plans
  • Perform client show rounds, 'meeting and greeting' clients, acting as the senior sales representative
  • Organise and execute showcase events ensuring attendance of important customers such as event bookers, PAs and key corporate clients
  • Plan effectively for successful delivery of the crucial Christmas business campaign
  • Become an expert in the enquiry management and booking systems, to provide insightful sales analysis and ensure accuracy of sales reporting
  • Be creative, passionate, and positive in one's interaction with venue management, the wider sales team, and related areas of the business such as marketing and operations
