The role involves caring for Natural Burial Grounds in Leicester and Loughborough, basic maintenance and care of the burial ground, trees, benches and memorials.

Furthermore, supporting the bereaved and acting as part of the team supporting burial services.

The role includes meeting clients and guiding through the options available to help ensure a final goodbye is relevant and personal to the person who has passed.


A strong belief in caring for the environment is essential, as is a genuine desire to help make a positive difference to those in time of need.

As the role is very much to meet client needs there are not fixed daily hours. Rather, you would work as part of the team to ensure the best possible service at all times. As such there will also be opportunity for additional hours.

The successful applicant must have a full UK driving licence.

And a reasonable level of strength and fitness is also essential, as preparing plots for interments of cremated remains, and helping erect shelters for burial services are key tasks.

Funeral service experience may be beneficial, however, is not essential. Your personality, attitude, and environmental awareness is of greater importance.

There will be opportunity to work additional hours as this new post develops.


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
£12.50-£13.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

This role is outside, therefore, the potential threat is reduced. However, we do wish to ensure best practice at all times.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Leicestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
