I am looking for a fun, positive and keen PA to support my 13 year old son to access activities and day outs.

He is a lovely, funny young gentleman who needs a caring and kind natured person to support him and give him the best opportunity to develop independence and lead a fulfilling life.

He enjoys swimming and skateboarding, but would love to try new things. He also enjoys drawing and art and crafts.

You will need to be a good communicator who is responsible, reliable and trustworthy and can build a great relationship with him.

He has ADHD, ODD and Type 1 Diabetes and delayed comprehension.

You will need to be able to give clear instructions and be able to support him to understand and maintain boundaries.

You will also need learn to recognise the non verbal cues he gives when he needs some quiet time.

Experience and understanding of working with SEN children and an understanding of mental health support for anxiety will be advantageous.

A knowledge of physical intervention/restraint techniques, diffusion and de-escalation would be beneficial. A knowledge of diabetes management would be helpful, but training will provided to support him with his diabetes.

Access to a car, with appropriate insurance to use this for work, plus a clean driving licence is required. An enhanced DBS will be required. This will be provided if there is not a current DBS in place.

Hours are 15 per week - job share possible.
